SURGICAL PROCEDURES

Prior to any surgical procedure, we perform a physical exam and a pre-anesthesia blood screening on your pet. During the procedure, your pet will receive an anesthetic, specifically adapted to his/her needs, intra-operative IV fluid therapy and constant monitoring by a trained technician. We aim to provide your pet with quality anesthetic care by constantly monitoring the heart rate, oxygen level and respiratory rate. Our operating theatre is well-equipped with updated anesthetic equipment, heart monitors, a fluid infusion pump and a circulating heating pad to maintain your pet’s body temperature.

We also offer post-operative monitoring and care at our clinic.

SPAYING AND NEUTERING

An ovariohysterectomy (females) or orchidectomy (males) is a procedure of removing the reproductive organs from your pet’s body. This procedure not only helps in controlling the pet population but also reduces the unwanted sexual behaviours such as marking territory, roaming and aggression. It also eliminates or decreases the risk of hormone-related diseases such as cancer and infections of sexual organs.

We perform spays on female cats and dogs aged 5½-6 months, and neuters on male cats and dogs at the minimum age of 6 months.

ORTHOPAEDIC AND SOFT TISSUE SURGERY

Along with elective procedures (spays and neuters), we offer orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries such as:

Femoral head and neck osteotomy
Cruciate repair
Fracture Repair
Luxating patella repair
Lumpectomy

DENTAL CARE

Dental hygiene plays an important role in maintaining your pet’s health. From thorough cleaning and brushing to taking preventative care and following a healthy diet, we suggest simple steps such as the thorough cleaning of teeth, above and below the gum line, to ensure your pet has a healthy mouth. We perform ultrasonic scale and teeth polishing when necessary under an anesthetic.

MULTIWAVE LOCKED SYSTEM (MLS) LASER THERAPY

MLS laser therapy is a painless treatment for pain and inflammation with the use of light energy in specific combination of wavelengths. This lasts an average of 3 minutes per treatment. Some of its benefits include:

Relief of chronic pain such as arthritis
Postoperative pain relief
Relief of acute pain such as trauma or injury
Faster wound healing

We use MLS laser therapy post-operation to help reduce pain and promote faster healing. To learn more about our therapies and treatments, give us a call or drop by our hospital.
